New features available in Google Webmaster Tools
Google have done it again, as prompt as ever with solutions and ready to please its users they have updated their Google Webmaster tools. Google continue to enhance their Webmaster toolset to webmasters and Search Engine Optimisers more simplified data. One of the newest features to be added is visual information about search queries and page popularity data.

The addition of pie charts into the search filtering queries now makes it possible to visually see the proportions of each search type, location and traffic and when selecting your “Queries” you have the choices of selecting “containing” or “not containing”. Not only that the Search queries section now contains all the available filters in one place in addition to the date range selection. As you can see from the image above the new items that have been incorporated as visual information are:
- Pie chart displaying the search type
- Pie chart showing the data for GEO location
- Pie chart displaying the traffic cap information.
Prior to this new feature the starred results used to be displayed on a separate tab but to make things easier, Google Webmaster have now incorporated a tick box to switch on or off – you can’t get any simpler than this. This improvement on the query filter is now more detailed as it now allows for the exclusion of terms and when exporting data a lot more can be exported than before.
The pie chart visualisation simplifies for you the process of pre-selecting the data that you need. This new feature is extremely helpful as the data can be downloaded into a table.
