Using Google Blogs Search Facility
Blog search by Google is a technology that focuses on blogs. The main purpose is to help users explore the blogging universe more effectively. Whatever subject matter you are looking for – political, news, holiday or anything else, Blog search enable you to find out what people across the globe are saying on any given subject of your choice.
The results that are returned are very comprehensive and include all blogs, not just ones that have been published through Blogger. The index is always up to date so results will always be the latest and most accurate. You can also search for blogs in other languages including French, Italian, Spanish, Thai and many other languages.
To use the Blog Search facility it is simple. Type the words you want to search for and click the “Search” button. By clicking the Advanced Search link you have further option s to use in your search including titles, authors, languages and more. Once results are returned you are able to switch results to show most relevant or most recent at the top of the list. Google Blog also lists links to allow you to browse different areas. For example clicking ‘Technology’ will show you all the top current stories in the tech world. The aim of Blog Search is to include every blog that publishes a site feed (either RSS or Atom). It is not restricted to Blogger blogs or blogs from any other service.
It is fairly easy to get your blog listed. If your blog publishes a site feed in any format and automatically pings an updating service, Google should be able to find and list it. Google recommend you set up automatic pinging for your blog, you can also manually submit your blog for inclusion. Google will periodically crawl and refresh manually-added blogs, but resubmitting ensures that the latest posts are indexed.
